Common questions

Building on your land

Do I need to own land first?: No. If you are still looking, we can talk through what to look for in a Central Texas lot. Many buyers bring their own land.
Can I use a VA loan to build on my lot?: Eligible service members and veterans may be able to use a VA One-Time Close construction loan. Approval and terms are determined by your lender and the VA.
What other financing options exist?: Conventional construction loans, FHA and USDA construction programs, jumbo loans and cash builds are all common. We'll introduce you to lenders who know construction lending — financing approval is never guaranteed.
How long does a custom build take?: Timelines vary by design, site conditions, selections and weather. We'll give you a realistic schedule during planning.
